Exploring Creative Freedom and Synergy between Technology and Business Goals with our US$20m Series A Investment

Since the beginning, we set ourselves the challenge of becoming the leading delivery experience platform. We sought out to analyse and gather the vast data pool and establish algorithms to standardise them within our platform. Our technology and data handling approach allowed for next level tracking data that worked for our customers in real-time. The Series A funding round will enable us to continue our technology investment to turn technical advantages into business opportunities.

Build on a scalable, micro-service delivery fundament

With these challenges as inspiration, we have planned a micro-service system where each component excels in one task. This specialization allows us to achieve local optimization while keeping the integration complexity from spreading everywhere. The design is fundamental in empowering the data-first vision of Perform.AI. The system is stable, robust, and responsive despite the enormous amount of traffic flowing through everyday. At its core, the Perform.AI system is a globally distributed streaming application that can scale horizontally and vertically to meet any business demand.

Coming together as a team who takes ownership

Since being a part of the genesis Parcel Perform, I have seen my career grow solidly from the first line of code to now the CTO of a 100+ strong company. There is no denying that working and handling a team during a pandemic had its own struggles but we did not just grow but become stronger. Being a fully in house managed team with the room to grow and learn from each other has been one of the key success criteria for building the best possible product through our growth.

In a classic case of Conway’s Law, the modular architecture of our delivery experience platform allows us to organize our tech teams into cross-functional self-managing Agile teams. The teams own their features and evolve with them through iterations. This tight coupling gives our teams a lot of contextual knowledge and creative freedom, which in turn yields a high return of innovation.

Growing the team while innovating

As the team looks forward to quadrupling its size in the next two years, we are excited at the prospect of the additional fire power and are looking into providing a wide spectrum of training to get ready for this future. We remain focused on promoting our internal people, helping them fight above their weight class, and looking after their success.

We pride ourselves by being a data first company. Since its inception engineers have built a platform that is scalable and built on innovative technology solutions. Partnering with AWS has allowed the technology to be fluid to adapt to the evolving nature of the logistics industry as a whole. Now, our plan to further invest into machine learning as the leverage we want to excel at to set the tone for the better delivery experiences our customers can count on. We are confident of this direction and believe our platform will continue to allow customers to become leaders in delivery experience globally. #GAMEON
