Jun 18, 2019

Our team is off to Chicago for the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE).

We’re looking forward to meeting thousands of industry professionals across the world in one of the biggest and most influential e-commerce markets in the world. Make an appointment with us if you’re there and up for a chat.

IRCE 2019 at a Glance:

What is IRCE? IRCE @ RetailX – the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition – is an annual event held in June in Chicago, Illinois.

When is IRCE 2019? June 25-28, in Chicago at McCormick Place South.

Why should I attend? The largest 600+ top solution and technology vendors, over 130 sessions covering topics and trends in the e-commerce world. IRCE is billed as the one-stop shop for all your e-commerce needs.

We’ve highlighted some topics that might be especially helpful for e-commerce retailers interested in customer experience and optimizing their last mile delivery setup. Make sure to catch these presentations if you’re also attending IRCE, or look out for our social media coverage of the event during the whole of next week.

1. Aligning Technology to Today's Customer Journey: A Roadmap

When: June 25, 9:15 AM - 10:00 AM

Who: Mark Friedman, CMO & CDO, Amerimark Holdings

Why you should attend: Customers don’t care about omnichannel, but they desire a seamless and unified experience that meets their needs of convenience and accessibility. Find out what technology and processes you need to create an exceptional omnichannel engagement.

2. Keynote: Hitching a Rocket to an Engine, Bonobos, and Walmart take off

3. Delivery: From Pain Points to Sweet Spots

When: June 25: 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Who: David Foote, Owner, Vesalius Health

Why you should attend: Research shows that 83% of consumers think brands don’t care about the customer experience after checkout. Additionally, 58% choose an e-commerce merchant above another because it provided better delivery options.

Foote discusses current delivery innovations like drone delivery, self-driving vehicles and how these technologies can be leveraged to address pain points of fulfillment and the last mile.

“Did you know Bonobos was recently recognized as the digitally native vertical brands (DNVB) college? These brands are digitally-native first, vertically integrated companies that sell their own products and controls its own distribution via the web while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience. While DNVBs start online, it often uses a brick-and-mortar strategy.”
