Outvio's home page, read on 14 October 2026, describes Outvio as “The post-purchase platform designed to build happy and loyal customers” and states that “Outvio can replace up to six different tools while enhancing functionality.” This page sets out what Outvio's own page says, and the questions a brand should ask any post-purchase vendor before it buys.

What does Outvio say its platform covers?

Outvio's home page, read on 14 October 2026, lists its capabilities as “Automated order fulfillment, intelligent shipping, customized tracking, self-service returns, money-making exchanges, sales-generating delivery notifications.” The same page states an “instant connection with 100+ couriers” and “30+ CMS available.”

How do the two compare on carrier coverage?

Outvio's home page, read on 14 October 2026, states an “instant connection with 100+ couriers.” On the Perform.AI side, the carrier network spans 1,100+ global carrier integrations, with every update translated into one of 155+ harmonized event types.

A headline count is only a starting point. What matters is whether the couriers you actually use, in the markets you actually ship to, are connected today, and what happens when you add a regional carrier next year.

What should a brand check about courier coverage?

Ask for the list, not the number. A written list of connected couriers, filtered to your active markets, tells you more than any total. Check the services too: a courier can be connected for standard parcels but not for its pick-up-point or freight service.

Then ask how a missing courier gets added: who builds it, how long it usually takes, and whether you pay for it. Finally, ask what tracking events come back from each courier. Two platforms can both "support" a carrier while one shows only "in transit" and "delivered" and the other shows every scan, exception and delivery attempt. Ask as well how often each courier's data refreshes, because a slow refresh means the tracking page and the support team are both looking at an old status.

What should a brand check about returns and exchanges?

Returns tools look alike in a demo and differ in the rules. Ask whether you can set your own exchange rules, for example which products can be swapped, for what, and in which markets, or whether exchanges need a manual approval step.

Ask how a return label is created for each market you sell in, whether shoppers can drop parcels at pick-up points as well as post offices, and when the refund is triggered: at drop-off, at the warehouse scan or after inspection. Each choice changes how fast the shopper gets their money back and how much fraud risk you carry. Ask, too, what the shopper sees while the return is on its way back, because a refund that seems to vanish for a week brings in as many support contacts as a lost parcel.

What should a brand check about delivery notifications?

Ask which channels are included in the base plan and which cost extra. SMS in particular is often charged per message. Check whether notifications can be written in your brand voice, in every language you sell in, and whether they are triggered by real carrier events or by fixed timers. A message that says "out for delivery" when the parcel has not moved does more harm than no message at all.

What should a brand check about the tracking page?

The tracking page is the page shoppers visit most after they buy, so it is worth testing hard. Ask whether it runs on your own domain, matches your site's look, and works on a phone without loading a separate app.

Check what it shows when something goes wrong. A good tracking page explains a delay in plain words, gives a new delivery date when the old one is no longer true, and tells the shopper what to do next. A weak one keeps showing the original date until the parcel arrives late. Ask too whether your customer service team sees the same status and the same date as the shopper, so nobody has to check a courier website mid-call.

Finally, ask what you can measure: how many shoppers open the page, how many contact support afterwards, and which messages or offers on the page they click.

Five questions to put to any post-purchase vendor

  • Courier coverage: Is there a written list of connected couriers active in the brand's target markets, not just a global total?

  • Notification channels: Are all channels (email, SMS) in the base plan, or are some charged as an add-on or per message?

  • Exchange automation: Can the brand set its own exchange rules, and are exchanges automated or manually approved?

  • Platform connection: Beyond a logo on a page, how deep is the integration with the brand's e-commerce platform, and does it need custom development?

  • Modular access: Can the tracking or returns module be bought on its own, and how does pricing change?
